erm I would cry if we brought defoe for 8 million. He is 30 and his best days are behind him, and he will be 32 next year and then we would need another striker, same goes for Lescott who is also 31 this year, so 16 million on two players who will be 32 next year. Not good business. I'm hoping Martinez will go for younger players.
I'd take advice off NHD, place it all on a 2-1 sure thing in the bookies and walk away with a bigger wedge..... probably still not enough to get Lionel Messi though.
