We need to look outside the Premier League. Why pay the premium (which will be even higher thanks to the TV deal) when there are plenty of options as good or better in other countries ?

Buying established premier league players means they are more likely to fit in and not suffer homesickness and difficulty adjusting to modern British life. Arshavin at Arsenal was a total flop because of his attitude, we suffered badly with Bilyaletdinov. We dont have the capacity to risk a signing like another Nyarko, like the RS did with Aquilani, or a Shevchenko. Its between a rock and a hard place because we cant poach other sides players easily and cheaply and we dont have the margins to cope with a player sat on the bench when he or they were bought as first teamers. Improvement from where we are is much more difficult to achieve than it was at the last manager transition. Upgrading the likes of Pembridge and Gemmill was much easier than upgrading Pienaar and Gibson.

I like that, apart from Austin, there's better strikers available for that, and we already have 3 striker's better than that, 4 if you count Mirallas.

Fair, I do believe that charlie Austin deserves a chance in the Prem though, I think he will score goals if given the right supply. I honestly think that Jelly will start to score again next season, as I dont think Martinez will ask for the same sort of work rate as moyes. We should enquire about Bent though, if he is cheap enough, he is a hell of a player to bring in

To be fair he is free, and we need some players to bulk out the squad, especially if Johnny the thug goes. I would like to to see duffy get a chance, but the likely hood of him being pushe ahed of our current defenders is nil to known

God awful attitude, got his massive payday with the move he pushed through to Villa and is their top earner. A player so interested in his team and supporting his team mates that instead of sitting in the stands injured and showing solidarity he decided to jib that off and pop out to the shopping mall and spend some of his incredibly hard earned.
