Yobo Gone?

With the benefit of hindsite, what would you have done?

Yobo wanted to leave, Yak had fallen out with Moyes, Yak had a potential deal on the table but wouldn't lower is wage demand. Yobo got caught up with the fall out from Fenerbache. Are you saying that we should try and attract good players but pay them **** wages?

very easy to criticise, harder to come up with solutions.

You just described a lot of Evertonians in that sentence.

If the rumour is true, good riddance. We might need all the money we can get (well, it's no longer a case of might, it's fairly obvious we're skint) but getting rid of disruptive influences at Finch Farm is even more essential than any money in my personal opinion. We seem to have a very good team spirit and the likes of Yobo can jog on as far as I'm concerned if they are causing trouble, fee or no fee.

Yes, but how long before another player wants out, and another, and another? As long as Kenwrong is running us like a sic CM side then we'll be condemned to years of transfer misery and players wanting out because they don't see the club going forward.

I would have sold Yobo to fenerbahce when it became obvious to everyone they wouldnt increase the bid.

I would have sold yakubu + paid a % of his wages or given him a payoff to leave.

I am hoping yakubu regains his interest to play again cos if he goes we will not have the funds to replace him and we need as many bodies as possible.
On yobo great signing and i wish him well, still think he is a better option than heitinga.

As fans we seem to becoming expert at cycling rumours without the basic of investigations or commonsense.

People really want to believe bad things don't they?

I can find the official squad (sky lists Yobo in its holding page), but I'm sure that if he's fit, he'll play.

Not a rumour, it is at Vicarage Road. That's not such a bad thing, decent pitch, easy reach of the capital etc.

Thats a bit of order lad, Yobo has never bad mouthed us, even when it was nailed he would be leaving he was respectful.

Yobo aint no Barton lad, he keeps his trap shut and has done for years, even when he was being overlooked by 90 year olds like Stubbs and Weir.

And besides and im sorry if this bores some, but im saying it anyway, whos to say Moyes would get the money.

WE sold Pienaar and Vaughan, plus we got fees for Yakubu, Yobo and Vaughan and yet we still cant afford any signings, I mean its not even as if Moyes is saying anything this Window, the silence is deafening.

Anyway, lay off Yobo, hes a good lad.
good shout , I think it's pretty much nailed on he won't be able to bring someone in whether Yobo 's there or not , I couldn't care less either way Iam 100% certain come August 31st we won't have any new Additions maybe bar a second string keeper from Poland or Somewhere, I've said this from day 1 and I stand by every word

Solution:

Don't loan out established, senior, international players - everyone knows their ability so no need to test it on loan.

Sell them instead of loaning/waiting a year when they're one year older in terms of depreciating value and your bargaining position is weaker.

Easy

We should do what other top clubs do with players or ( Dead Wood) as there called , sell them and bring in replacements , you are aware where the only club in the football league yet to sign a player aren't you ?????????, some people are so set in there ways if we got relegated to league 2 , you'd still be sticking up for the chairman , The red ****e sign players like Dossena , when realised there not good enough they ship them out and sign more players , we can't even sell to buy , never mind buy , the chairman is a failure stop backing his corner FFS, or atleast raise some points what he's achieved because Iam struggling to think of any .

I cannot imagine any true evertonian backing kenwright or the board.

You loan a player because you want to move him on and you can't find a buyer who is prepared to pay straight away. that is what we did with Yobo and Yak. Its not an unusual thing to do, though that might be a surprise to you. Its almost like saying, OK, all Everton need to do is bring in investment. Very easy to say, not so easy to do. You can't sell a player if there's no buyer and the fact that we don't have people breaking down the door for either is a case in point.

Your comment is totally beneath you and is so faschist in nature its untrue. Trying thinking before insulting FELLOW Evertonians

Its totally unacceptable and I hope that mods take note.

It is completely unheard of to me , for a club with no money crying out for either a free transfer or a couple of loans , can't strike any sort of deal for Nigeria's best two players one of who is their captain , instead where going into the season with no improvements expecting to improve on 7 th relying on 17 year olds , and your backing this as logic , I honestly Iam astonished

You loan young players, or inexperienced reserves where the prospective buyer wants to test them first hand.

You do not loan experienced, senior, international players out - a prospective buyer knows their ability, and the two clubs involved have effectively taken the piss out of our club as a dead in the water financial basketcase. If you can't sell someone you'd like to sell, keep them till you can, and play them when you want/need to (how big is our squad again?).

We've lost one years depreciation on the value of these two players without having their use last year.

Easy solution, and I'm not even a rich businessman.

Its my opinion why should the mods take note, kenwright and the board are killing this club and i cannot believe any true blue would back them.
I assume by your reaction you think he is doing a great job and if so am very surprised
