Yobo Gone?

I wonder how much this has got to do with the bank (possibly?) foreclosing on his nightclub in Nigeria?

Need ££ for him ! Even if it's £3 mill yobo is a good prem player
The problem with that is that Yobo can take a 10% wage cut and still be top earner in at least 2 and up to 8 PL sides this season.

If the rumour is true, good riddance. We might need all the money we can get (well, it's no longer a case of might, it's fairly obvious we're skint) but getting rid of disruptive influences at Finch Farm is even more essential than any money in my personal opinion. We seem to have a very good team spirit and the likes of Yobo can jog on as far as I'm concerned if they are causing trouble, fee or no fee.

I like Yobo :(.

Thats a bit of order lad, Yobo has never bad mouthed us, even when it was nailed he would be leaving he was respectful.

Yobo aint no Barton lad, he keeps his trap shut and has done for years, even when he was being overlooked by 90 year olds like Stubbs and Weir.

And besides and im sorry if this bores some, but im saying it anyway, whos to say Moyes would get the money.

WE sold Pienaar and Vaughan, plus we got fees for Yakubu, Yobo and Vaughan and yet we still cant afford any signings, I mean its not even as if Moyes is saying anything this Window, the silence is deafening.

Anyway, lay off Yobo, hes a good lad.

Pathetic by Everton to let two seasoned internationals in Yobo & Yakubu leave on loan.

The Yak's only got a year on his deal and we'd be lucky to get £3m for him now.

And Yobo's wage demands of 50K - what he gets at EFC - is putting everyone off his signature despite a rather small £4.5m asking price for a player with bags of Premier League experience & still only 30. He'd flourish in a mid table side.

Silly silly Everton - they'll probably both leave for Peanuts on deadline day and we'll see none of the money. It'll be swimming in the Mersey with the Pienaar and Vaughan money... and the wages saved on those two loanees and their respective wages.

WELL DONE EVERTON!

Whoa, whoa, pipe down. It appears you missed a crucial word in my comment, that word being 'if'. I know Yobo hasn't caused trouble for the club like Barton has for his clubs, I'm not stupid. I'm just saying, IF Yobo wants out so bad that he's packed his bags and left for Nigeria then good riddance. Why? Read on.

I'm not sure about you, but if I packed my bags and left somewhere early, then it would probably be down to the fact I didn't want to be wherever I was. If I was kept somewhere I didn't want to be, I'd probably start being disruptive because I was unhappy. See the point I'm getting at here? I'm saying good riddance to Yobo if the rumours are true because of what he might be like if we forced him to stay. Overall, I know Yobo hasn't been a bad egg during his time at the club.

With the benefit of hindsite, what would you have done?

Yobo wanted to leave, Yak had fallen out with Moyes, Yak had a potential deal on the table but wouldn't lower is wage demand. Yobo got caught up with the fall out from Fenerbache. Are you saying that we should try and attract good players but pay them **** wages?

very easy to criticise, harder to come up with solutions.

As fans we seem to becoming expert at cycling rumours without the basic of investigations or commonsense.

People really want to believe bad things don't they?

I can find the official squad (sky lists Yobo in its holding page), but I'm sure that if he's fit, he'll play.
