true. club will turn this into a strenght. stability is created in long run and it will have highs and lows
Not sure about that tbh. If he takes us down he will have lost all credibility.

From what i have heard Bill is looking long term. Not fire him, even if our downward spiral continues ?
Think most people are at this moment in time, but Bill just can't stand by and accept relegation,if results don't improve. From what i have heard Bill is looking long term.
For the record my stance is on the fence.
I am waiting to see where we are after the derby.
I don't think Bill has contemplated relegation.Think most people are at this moment in time, but Bill just can't stand by and accept relegation,if results don't improve.
Reads at times like Samuel Beckett. A contemporary Waiting for GodotReading through these pages it would make a great play

He really seems to believe in the manager.
If we go down we need to back Martinez and whatever players are left to mount a premiership challenge. There's no point in sacking the manager especially if we go down. He didn't sign a contract extension for no reason, we need a few years more before his philosophy is fully implemented. Judge him when all of Moyes' players have gone before making a real judgement -Barkley, Coleman, Baines, Oviedo, Mirallas etc. I never fully judged Moyes until the last of the Smith players had gone and so I won't until Martinez has his own team. Have faith and drop being reactionary, some of you folk.
Did you see us play against west brom ? We were playing slow ponderous football! We look clueless, no direction, rudderless and it's all due to Martinez ! We been like this for months! He needs to go before we get deeper into trouble ! Get an interim manager in till end of season and get someone in early in the summer
But why would he get rid of The likes of Barkley , Coleman, Oviedo etc. they are good players. Fair play with some of the older ones who clearly wouldn't and don't fit into his philosophy, but I don't think you can only judge a manager when he has literally transformed the whole playing staff, as the transition is still a hugely important managerial job. If it takes relegation to totally integrate his playing style and get rid of all of the players, then that's not good enough.

Martinez looks to have been a victim of his own first season success. He adapted a squad largely bequeathed to him and made it work in a new system. I reckon that's lulled him into a false sense of security over the necessity to rid of us over the hill Moyes players. It's easy to say in hindsight, of course, but he really should have been looking to quicken the pace of evolution away from the older players in the squad last summer. Actually, many of us could see that perseverance with the CB pairing of Jagielka and Distin was flirting with danger. Similarly, many saw us being short of true playmaking quality, preferring to soldier on with the likes of Osman and Naismith. He left this alone and it's destroyed the season. Now he's effectively a season behind where he could have had us.
