If we go down we need to back Martinez and whatever players are left to mount a premiership challenge. There's no point in sacking the manager especially if we go down. He didn't sign a contract extension for no reason, we need a few years more before his philosophy is fully implemented. Judge him when all of Moyes' players have gone before making a real judgement -Barkley, Coleman, Baines, Oviedo, Mirallas etc. I never fully judged Moyes until the last of the Smith players had gone and so I won't until Martinez has his own team. Have faith and drop being reactionary, some of you folk.

Did you see us play against west brom ? We were playing slow ponderous football! We look clueless, no direction, rudderless and it's all due to Martinez ! We been like this for months! He needs to go before we get deeper into trouble ! Get an interim manager in till end of season and get someone in early in the summer

But why would he get rid of The likes of Barkley , Coleman, Oviedo etc. they are good players. Fair play with some of the older ones who clearly wouldn't and don't fit into his philosophy, but I don't think you can only judge a manager when he has literally transformed the whole playing staff, as the transition is still a hugely important managerial job. If it takes relegation to totally integrate his playing style and get rid of all of the players, then that's not good enough.

To be fair, I don't think we will be the only side to struggle to score against a Tony Pulis West Brom this season. A team needs a very talented player on form to break a defence like that.

The next few games will tell us more.

We aren't going down simples.. We'll finish mid table by end of. I don't expect that type of season nor do the rest of us. We get an interim in goodbye barkley and co in the summer. He needs to be taken aside and given a bloody good clout around the head and told to sort it out... By the players or Bill whoever. Hes not stupid but needs to wake up a bit.

Martinez looks to have been a victim of his own first season success. He adapted a squad largely bequeathed to him and made it work in a new system. I reckon that's lulled him into a false sense of security over the necessity to rid of us over the hill Moyes players. It's easy to say in hindsight, of course, but he really should have been looking to quicken the pace of evolution away from the older players in the squad last summer. Actually, many of us could see that perseverance with the CB pairing of Jagielka and Distin was flirting with danger. Similarly, many saw us being short of true playmaking quality, preferring to soldier on with the likes of Osman and Naismith. He left this alone and it's destroyed the season. Now he's effectively a season behind where he could have had us.

If we were to be relgated let's be clear we would have a hell of a job getting back up make no mistake about that. I also thinkm that we may lose some players!. As for backing RM, he got it from Whelan but made it clear he was not the man to get Wigan back up so what makes you think he would stay with us? If we went down and continued with his wika waka football style, the other championship teams would slaughter us. We need a few years for his style to work! are you mad? It is not working now so what makes you think give a few years and it will work. So you will not judge RM until Barkley, Jagielka, Coleman, Baines, Distin, Mirallas, Osman, Pienaar, Oveido, Naismith, Howard, Garbutt, and Stones have gone, now that would leave the RM players of Besic, Barry, Lukaku, Robles, McGeady, Alcaraz, Etoo (nearly gone), have I missed any out, just great.

One last word relegation would effectively destroy Everton, think very little TV money, Gates would go down, Commercial side would be even worse than now, chance of affording a new stadium zero, You need to think a bit of the implications before you post.

Which all reflects on the fact that he showed poor judgement and you think he is the bee's knees, hah.

So hes wasted a year of Everton Football clubs time.

As I said, he should resign.
