It really isn't the game to give him his first start but it also isn't a game that Holgate should be anywhere near. Either way we probably need 2 goals of our own to get a result. Hopefully come October he's ready to go for real.

I think holgate will be moved over to right back. He’s put in good performances there in the past. I feel more comfortable having Holgate at right back then Kenny, I like them both, but Holgates better there for the time being.

If we have Digne on the other side, with Bernard, Walcott, richarlson and co I think that would work quite well In combination down the flanks

Holgate should only play fullback if both Kenny and Coleman are hurt bad enough they can't stand. I'd rather have Seamus in a walking boot then Holgate at RB.

The problem is he already didn't have a pre season now like Bernard and Gomes he will be catching up and trying to adapt to a new team after injury. It really is unfortunate that most of our important signings had niggles and didn't get a preseason because its a lot of pressure on them to perform straight away in an under performing team.
