No....widely reported more to do with they baulked at some of the agents fee's.Isn’t this why United pulled out late on knowing he was out for a couple of months?

...hopefully available around Dec 25th...so we can all look forward to a very Yerry Christmas!what's the script then, is he still injured, how long he out etc etc
In zonal marking, your always losing out as the opposition has a run into the area and can use his momentum to get his head to the ball, in zonal your static until you realise the ball is coming towards you, by which time it's too late.
Most of the time everyone is left ball watchingNot really. In man the defenders position can be dictated by the attacker. A well timed run can leave the defender on the back foot and of no use.
In zonal your starting position isn't necessarily stood still in the centre of your zone. You could position yourself at the edge of your zone and take responsibility for the space in front of you to give you the opportunity to run onto the ball with the man behind you taking responsibility for the space behind you. Done correctly it also limits the space for attacking runs as there are walls of defenders lined in a defensive position.
Other defenders can move around their zone to make attacking runs difficult as the attacker has to contend with losing more than one man.

I thought the effectiveness of Zonal marking was up when opposing teams learned how to effectively overload certain areas? An example of a team not performing zonal marking well is not really a valid argument against a marking system that has been effectively used by a lot of the best teams to have played the game. If there was a video showing one example of a bad pass or tackle it wouldn't be a case for scrapping passing and tackling would it?
I'll leave it there though as this is waaaay off the threads topic! Let's just hope Yerry is boss when he finally gets fit.
........................Perhaps you dont understand zonal marking?............. Hes not allowed to just leave his zone to go do Baines job at the front post, and up to this point Silva has not had a CB at the front post, so their height would be absolutely useless to stop headers from other places.I presume you are looking for a less obvious answer than "by contesting and possibly winning either of those aerial challenges". Hold on, what am I thinking, the poor lad's only 6'5".
The state of you, lad. Good God.
We used to have short Cb Jags Williams. Mina and Zouma are like 6 ft 3 6 ft 5 so I expect them to head away everything.
We have a tall centre back in Michael Keane.......
He's 6'1. Hardly what you'd class as tall for a CBWe have a tall centre back in Michael Keane.......
