..I have a distinct memory of Emlyn Hughes playing LB for Blackpool at Goodison. I know he got inside the skin of Evertonians for that drunken chant but I did get to know him a very little bit and he was always decent to me. Taking folk as you find them, he was ok and the bloke passed away quite young with a dreadful illness.

Both perfectly reasonable points but in my opinion a key contributor to the distance that exists between the fans of the two clubs .
