I’m a big fan of Spanish footy and watch loads, and whilst he had a great midfield in front of him he was brilliant in that role. For how good Barca are at keeping hold of the ball the amount of times they lose possession in a game is quite high, allowing teams to break on them, he just seemed to be everywhere mopping up.

He was an immense footballer. Quite possibley on of the main reasons why a ball plying centre back is a premium now.
