It may well come to that moving on Lukaku if we can get the right price.
I'm not even getting on his back by suggesting it either; it's just increasingly obvious that we have no game plan whenever he plays other than boot it up there and hope for the best, because he can't bring other people into the game by making the ball stick. It's not who he is.
So it's best for all parties if we sell and actually recruit with a plan in mind as to what we want to do. Yes, he scores goals - brilliant at that - but if all that means is that we are vulnerable every game to being counter attacked because of his poor hold up play and distribution then overall he's a liability rather than an asset.
The same is true of the wingers - we spent £25m+ on Bolasie to bring in the
exact same hit-and-miss wide player we are already stocked full on.
We either get rid of Lukaku, or bring in players around him (particularly in attacking midfield) who can work with the guy - as it is, it's already clear he's gone in the summer, so we need to start looking at Plan B now and bringing in a striker who makes the players around him work.
