He is capable of being a class player on his day and Koeman clearly believes he can get the best out of him on a consistent basis.

That's true. The pressure should be on Koeman to get the best out of both the transfer budget and the players at his disposal. BUT that's not how it goes with players who go for big money. Fair or not he will be judged, by us and the broader football watching public, by his impact on the team and that is most easily understood with goals and assists.
