I think he's probably come in and seen the attitude and work rate of Mirallas and immediately knew he had to get shut of him. If that happens then it'll almost be worthwhile.
I just think the cash could have been better spent, tbh. I just wonder if the wages situation is hamstringing us now: we can get better quality for that fee elsewhere, but a better quality player would command higher wages and that's an issue at the club...or seems to be.
Sorry, but i think we've 'settled' here.
You say that about Mirallas Dave yet Koeman was extremely complimentary of him. You've got a personal vendetta against Kev for some reason, and that's fine - it's your opinion. But IMO it's pretty evident Kev has worked extremely hard this pre-season and from what RK said in his presser Saturday he is happy.
Again, I quote: "Players like Deulofeu and Kevin [Mirallas]. They are very good and I like the players but they have to work hard. Today they worked hard and then they have the quality to go and play good football. The same is for Ross [Barkley]."
I do think there's a possibility Kev or Lennon may well leave if a big offer comes in,but definitely can't see Koeman actively looking to sell. It's all about options. I think this is also backed up by the comments from Joyce and Hunter linking us with a move for Sissoko earlier in the window, but we weren't willing to stump up £35mil (rightly so).
And maybe we have 'settled', but name me another player with PL experience (and I think this is key as it's what Koeman is looking for currently in his deals) who we know will come in and offer us something different to what we have in this area. Lots of mentions from others about players that are better (of that I have no doubt), but I don't think any of them are in any way similar.
I think if we get Ghezzal (sp?) in as well, then we may well look to move on a winger.
