I hope he does well. And he will. Fair play to Yak.

Moyes preferred a striker who hadn't scored for 11 months.
Moyes preferred an unproven League One striker.
Moyes preferred two midfielders to play up front.

He was never going to get a game here again.

But its utterly ridiclous mate, to weaken an area the whole world can see we need improveing, realisticly who could we get better then the Yak on loan, no one comes to mind.

Saha pulls a hamstring in the Derby - we're brown bread!

How many has Yak scored again?

He wanted out in the summer.

Saha. Beckford. Anichebe. Vaughn's still here... you don't know what LCAB et al will pop up with too....

Then in the next 12 months you might have Hallum Hope on the bench etc.....

... I think it's coz Yak wants away personally.

I think it's probably mutual. He must be one of the highest earners. If he's not in the gaffer's plans, we can't afford to pay him for sitting in the stands.

I suspect this loan is with the promise of a big wedge in the summer for us to have gone for this .... if they get promotion really. Plus as D/D says.
If Beckford and Saha continue ... plus Cahill and Anichebe (who's WANTING GAMES)...

then Yak's options are limited here really......

He was an expensive sub, who was never in my opinion the same player following a horrible injury, the side had a formula without him and he has fallen to the side as a consequence.

Agreed. But I'm not at all surprised.

See: Joseph Yobo.

The Yak's not the player he was. We need to clear space to bring in someone with more desire.

Any news on how Hallum Hope's progressing. He must be 17 coming on 18 now...

How close is he to getting into the 1st team squad or at least reserves?

In know way can i see this deal being good for us mate, if Saha gets injured which is far from the realms of impossability its likely we will have to go with Beckford or Big Vic up front leading the line. We we're sturrgleing with forwaed before this and letting go, for me, our most talented isnt going to help matters.

Davey is cutting of his nose to spite his face here and no mistake.

i've heard that before. But ultimately Moyes bounces back with something unexpected and stronger - every time.

It does make sense on balance. If someone comes in on loan who has a better strike rate this season than 1 in 15, you won't feel so aggrieved.

Of course, it could be interpreted as a confidence and fitness building exercise? - Doubt it though. I'm expecting someone like Kenny Miller to come in.

i think Hope is still 16 he is younger than Barkley and he just turned 17 need to give him time but from what ive seen ive got every bit of confidence that he can step up to the first team
