Bad news today for all Blues fans in that Mikky Arteta has been called up to the Spanish Army for his National Service. Mikky has until his 27th birthday (March 2009) to start his year in the forces, and no one we are told is able to avoid their National Duty. Up to a few years ago your passage into the Army could be bought out, but a rule change in 2006 has led to Mikky and several other Spanish players having to do their time. It is not known when Mikky will leave us for a year, but it will be between now and March 2009. Jesus that's all we need.
