No, that is just plain wrong.....in my eyes anyway.

Look...like most on here, my mood for half a week after an Everton game is dictated to a very large extent by the result of that game.

Ergo there is no such thing as "a string of meaningless league games" no matter even if we are in the no man's land that is mid table mediocrity.

They are all vital to me......especially those at home, which I will spend a good chunk of money to watch and devote a good few hours so to do.

I want to leave the Park happy after a victory.

And I certainly do not want to lose even one of them just to create further trouble for the manager.

There's no point anyway. Even if he wins every league game, he's a dead man walking for the underperformance regardless. People aren't stupid.

His only saving grace now is the cup game - if he wins it or we perform well in both games remaining and narrowly lose, he probably buys time. Anything short of that will mean a very uncomfortable summer for him, and pressure on the board to act.

I didn't want us to play well though. I'd have happily been tanked 10-0 in that game.

It was a case of looking at the bigger picture. Sure, I support Everton, but living in Merseyside means tolerating those other beauts on a daily basis, and a title win for them was out of the question.

I live and work in Blackpool . A fair number of the beauts in the workplace . Wouldn't have been as bad as being on Merseyside , but I'd probably have been driven mad by them . Not a single one of them from Liverpool btw .

* had a four month sicknote prepared :p

I for one am pleased that @Elong started this thread as it has allowed us to accurately gauge Evertonian opinions on this forum regarding a topic that has been raised several times now.

The sheer volume of responses in a short space of time also validates the merit of the thread.

Everton for the win

Wtf are you on about?

He said he was going out an hour ago, and he's still posting. It was a joke silly boy.

Judging others by your own bar there me thinks

Oh is that what you meant? lol

I was going to bed but you've kept me up as I've enjoyed debating with you (and others). Only get a few hours kip in before kick off.

Apologies mate I thought that you were implying that his time on the forum was coming to an end.

Also less of the personal insults please.

Although I now think he should go, I still want us to win every game until the end of the season. While I know that's not going to happen, I just can't stand to see us lose.

Say we scrape through Watford, Palace and Southampton with just a couple of draws and it came down to if we got beat in the Derby he would definitely be gone.. Would the 10 who've voted yes be happy with Liverpool beating us if it meant he was sacked?
