You do this a lot mate, tell us that our posts don't mean much. No offence, but we all know this x
Just double checking. But the rest of the post is brilliant IMO.

In order to shaft the RS we had to lose, therefore you were ultimately chuffed that we got beat. You can't have both sides of that coin.

As it says in the title.
Mods I feel this might have been done before but it's a current hot topic, and according to one poster thousands of Evertons feel this way. I just want to be sure of it myself before commenting further.
No I always want us to win regardless of who is in charge.
Cutting off your nose to spite your face I believe is the term.
What the lad must of meant is thousands of people on Twitter have said it. In amongst all the other pointless tosh they hash tag.
Anyone who loves Everton wants them to win all the time..!!
Au contraire.....it was a very easy pill to swallow especially as Tottenham's defeat earlier that day meant we couldn't be caught for fifth place.
There was a euphoric mood in the environs of Goodison as we left the ground that day given what that result meant in the greater scheme of things
Now, from what I recall, the attitude among posters on here at the time was that the further away one lived from Liverpool, the less the support for EFC losing.
Those of us who faced living amidst the gloat fest that Summer 2014 promised to be before Demba Ba day were, if not happy enough to lose, certainly not overly bothered that we did![]()

Thousands of evertonians feel the same.
I'm with Mugs
I wanted us to lose that game. Still celebrated Barkley's goal, but was delighted we lost.
But that was for a sensible reason - not irrationally hoping to get our own manager sacked.
If he starts winning games and we suddenly turn into the Invincibles, I'll be happily eating humble pie about Martinez. Won't happen obviously, but still.
A few posts have mentioned a certain Man City match . Though the feelings about the game were weird , Everton tried their hardest to win it . And deserved , at least , a draw .
Any fan, of any club, can take a defeat if the team played well . Like Everton did that day
I made no assumptions at all.It didn't worry me if we didn't shaft them, I support Everton first and foremost. You're making a lot of assumptions about my views based off one sentence, and I feel that you'll simply disbelieve me telling you otherwise.
Which is fine![]()
I do like an old school view.
