The first one I thought of was Gary Stevens on Jim Beglin, although I think it was the image as much as anything, I seem to remember it was a night game before we had live games on TV, so the only thing you saw was a still photo of beglins leg broke in the papers the next morning.

Also, there is video of Suarez absolutely hammering someone when he played for Ajax and then faking injury himself. Cant think who the team or player was though. Someone post it!
