Worrying trend on injuries

The freak injuries are completely excusable, but all the hamstrings and thigh strains and all that is ridiculous
The Coleman one is bad luck. it happening when you have a shot in the last 20 minutes is unfortunate.

Concerned about the Besic one, that early means you think he didn't warm up properly.

Yeah, didn't think too much of the Coleman one, could be a combination tweak/dehydration. The Besic one wasn't good tho..

Everton will discover the extent of injuries sustained by Mo Besic and Seamus Coleman today – but are hopeful that neither will be as serious as first feared. Both players were forced off during the victory over Chelsea on Saturday with hamstring problems, and both will undergo scans at Finch Farm on Tuesday. Blues boss Roberto Martinez admitted Besic’s problem, which occurred early on in the game, looked more serious than Coleman’s, which came later, but is hopeful neither problem will prove to be too severe.

Martinez said: “We have had a really good 48-hour period for the two injuries. For Seamus in particular it has been a really good reaction. “But obviously we will get a lot more information today. We will get the scans done and we will have the full information. “Mo is still a little bit more tender than Seamus, but hopefully it’s not going to be too bad for either of the players. “I don’t think it looks as bad as we feared once it happened but we’ll get more information as the week goes on and we’ll see how long a period we’re looking at for the two players. “They were the only two to pick up knocks against Chelsea, so everyone else from that squad is fully fit for the weekend.”

Martinez underlining the losses there in interview: all the starting FBs out of action.

He had praise, rightfully so, for starting that game with two teenagers and a 21 year old and we've kept a clean sheet away at Swansea with their very handy attacking unit.

The strength in depth here is very impressive, I have to say.
