World Snooker Championship

As I said above, it wasn't just the final frame or his final shot...far from it. The preceding frames were chocca with 'mistakes' by Allen.

Just saying that a feller in deep financial troubles doesn't necessarily make his situation go away with a WC finalist or winners cheque...
They were all mistakes that would have won him the frame to go through. He absolutely did not fix anything in that session.

Even if a player is dabbling with fixing they'd still want to win the world championship. To get that close and to throw it away I'm not having it.

Maybe, maybe not. If your financial troubles are wiped out for all time without the gamble of trying to beat Murphy then I reckon he looks hard at that....allegedly.

Yize was guilty of just as many as Allen. I think snooker is one of the hardest games in the world to master normal never mind under pressure in the world championships.
If Allen missed that black on purpose he's got skills beyond anything ive seen to hit that straight into the centre of the pocket and watch it rattle 6 or 7 times.

Stinks to high heaven that miss on the black especially.

Feller looking to come out of - and stay out of - bankruptcy playing someone from south east Asia with that betting market and all the cash swilling round these events...
In the final frame Allen was 40 odd points up, went into the pack and was unlucky not to be on a red to win the frame and match - the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune writ large.

They can do that - they're pros who can do shots like that with their eyes closed.

Never underestimate the power of cash.

There was plenty of time - as he proved - to screw the frame up after that though.

I mean, it's not like throwing a match or frame has never happened before like...

Wu missed the pink right before Allen missed the black. In fact Allen made a tough pink before missing the sitter on the black. It's just one of those things in sport that happens under big pressure that you can't explain.
He didn't watch any of it, and has suddenly turned up in the thread to start chatting bullocks* about corruption and bankrupcy.

Shot of the championship so far koresh?

Any more ? I'll go with : he won't want this session to end ; the dreaded DDK and these pockets are so tight.

Like has been said. You dont pick a game watched by millions to throw it lol.
You pick a game with as much disinterest as possible.

rolls-royce you'd never get odds.

"he's been careless there, should be no where near the middle pocket" <---Taylor
"he's picked out another long range special" <--- Doherty
"the whole of snooker knows how adept he is with the rest" <---all of 'em
"an absolute body blow to lose that frame there, it was virtually a guarantee" <----Parrott
"the pockets have played tight all fortnight"
"that's just a bit of nerves trying to settle in these early frames"
"it was in the safety exchanges where mark allen shone, often forcing an error and he'd then dish up" <--- Hendry!

"don't forget the Yangtze incident" (?) "giving back hong kong didn't play out so well" (?) [amazed that big mouth last night hasn't been plastered all over the press]

Didnt notice at the time but saw the Allen black ball again on the news and the ref starts taking his white gloves off as Allen hits it and just as quickly starts pulling them back on as it rattles the pocket lol.
Good pick, they've just reshown it and it was split second stuff, the ref kept staring at him as the black stayed out. Like he was expecting him to drop to his knees and start bawling.
