My personal favourite from Murphy the other day was:

Commentator: [Something like] "They are not getting any shots away"
Murphy: "Yeah"

I believe it was his most valid comment all game.

I would rather go on holiday to Grimsby for a month with Alan Shearer than spend one minute with him. Horrible man. Easily the most offensive pundit anywhere ever. Id even prefer to get trapped in a lift with Souness and Roy Keane than get within 1000 miles of him.

Given that sort of margin our own strikers can feel they've done a good job so far this season - pretty much.

I dont even consider him a pundit. He's just a contrarian.

Brian Moore, now there was a commentator

Bit pro-Liverpool for my liking, but aside from that he was superb

Worked great with a variety of colour commentators as well. Had good chemistry with Clough, Atkinson, Keegan and Pleat

Moore and Keegan is perhaps the most affable commentary duo of all-time

McCoist doesn't take himself too seriously unlike all the others bar maybe Micah, though they don't have a clue what they're banging on about most of the time, and I enjoy Keane's anger issues being played out live on TV.
Outside them 3 it's hard to warm to any of the others.
