World Cup Commentators

I could not bear the jingoism of the BBC commentary last night - pure RS style tripe... "the 3 lions adorning his shirt"... "a win made in Manchester".... watched some with a foreign commentary and it was entertaining, made it more like a standard world cup game I can abstract myself from and just enjoy the footy. Will definitely be watching all England games muted/foreign commentary from now on

its like they are desperate for their own "there's people on the pitch..." moment

Guy Mowbray is doing my feckin' head in. He's feckin' useless, spouting verbal diahhorea likes it's going out of feckin' fashion. Offers no feckin' insights at all, talks absolute garbage all the feckin' time. I want to feckin' kill him. He's the worst feckin 'commentator of any sport in the history of the Universe.

Was trying to work that out a few months ago when I heard him co commentating on a game. It took me hours to figure out who it was. They sound identical.

I watch Sport TV Direct which is Portuguese. Like Fat Sam I don't speak Portugese, but with the sound turned down so the crowd noises are just audible, the commentary is just a background babble.
