lol, i had that problem with li tie. i was reading about him in the papers and talking about him on forums pronouncing it (bruce) lee (neck) tie. only to go to goodison on a trip back home and find out it was almost french sounding in reality.

Who did you hear pronouncing it? Everton fans I asume. Or did you ask a waiter in The Golden Dragon?. In Spain they pronounced it Lee-Tea-ay
