Words cannot describe my excitement!

Hello everyone.
As I've posted before my wife and I will be on our honeymoon from the States and hoping to see the opening game of the season... Well we got tickets!!!

We will be in upper gwladys street 1, the view looks pretty nice but it doesn't matter to me because I get to see this team play in person! We are looking forward to this as the last big event of our trip! I just wanted to share my excitement with you all!

Also would you recommend a stadium tour? We were thinking about doing one before we leave as well!

Up the Toffees!!!
I made my 1st on 5th Nov 1960 - my last on 3rd May 2014

I'll be back in August 2021 - at Bramley Moore.

Enjoy the day...post some pics - some of the game day too.

Definitely do the stadium tour.

And do as many laps of the ground as you can on game day. The one time we went, I made sure we just walked around for ages. Stop at the Winslow, go to St Luke's, check out the players arriving, skim through the fan zone, talk to the locals. Do everything. It's the absolute greatest.
You have intrigued me at the players arriving. Tell me more

Outside the Park End (I'm pretty sure it was), probably a couple of hours or so before kick off, there's a little fenced off area near the players' carpark where they let fans congregate to watch them arrive. We were literally just wandering past and saw Barkley turn up, and Mirallas was stopping for photos and to sign some stuff.

Dunno if they do it for every game, but I think the club gives details out each gameday.

I find the passion of American fans really interesting, hope you have a great time mate.
I'm sure I'll have a great time. I started to follow Everton when Tim Howard was on the team because I played keeper a lot growing up and of course being an American liked him as well. Seeing how great the club is and how great it's fans are has made me stay.

Holy moly I need to be there before the game! Seeing a player that close will make me totally freak out!

Jeez yeah, don't just turn up 10 mins before the kick off...3 hrs minimum.
Just a tip; It will be harder getting away from the ground that getting there...40K will arrive over a time period...but the same 40K will want out all at once.
#Exit Strategy.

I'll probably wait a while to leave after the match. I'm going to just want to sit there and soak everything in

find a nearby Bar, plenty to pick from, take an hour or so, wind down, let it soak in, listen to, join in with the after match debrief / hatchet job...there will be more Taxis / Uber about then...or even walk up to County Rd and get a bus into town...depending on your Hotel position.

With his negativity he probably won't be there
He's actually one of the most dyed in the wool blues you could meet. I haven't actually met him but I just know whatever differences of opinion he just wants the best for Everton. One of many posters on here I'd love to meet in person*

I originally typed ''in the flesh'' but remembered where I was.

Have a great day, honeymoon, life.

Congrats on you getting wed but you could have picked a better game than the Stoke one. It's traditionally one of the most awful spectacles of the season. Perhaps you will get lucky this year
