Great stuff mate. My wife and I did the same thing for our honeymoon a few years back (we're in New Zealand). My tip would be to defo pre-book the stadium tour as early as possible, we unfortunately left it quite late to book and missed out, though we got tickets to the Everton game no problem.
A lady who we sat with at the game also said we should have told the club that we had made the trip to Goodison all the way from NZ as they are normally pretty good about making a special mention of that sort of thing over the PA at halftime (if you're into that sort of thing of course).
A trip to the Winslow for a pre-match beer and banter is a must. Lastly, Liverpool is a great city, see the sights, and Evertonians are the friendliest bunch you'll ever meet

If you are in the Upper Gwladys my advice is, to you and your wife to be, expect that every time we get over the half way line there to be a wood clacking sound from the seats as everyone stands up and visibility is restricted.
Please remember the "old lady", that is Goodison, is not like an American stadium !. She goes back to Queen Victoria's time.
