Now you've pointed that out I'm also ashamed to be British. I'm ashamed we put the lives of our military at risk to save others from persecution, I'm ashamed our justice system is the envy of the world, I'm ashamed we live with the types of freedoms most of our detractors could only dream of.

Gah, I'm so ashamed to be me I don't know what to do. I'm going to book the next flight to afghanistan and apologise to every female I see for our foreign policy interrupting their education and enjoyment of life. I only hope they accept.

bravo, to much self pity and self hate in the uk, should be more like the yanks and be proud of are country, but i do get were people are saying we should keep out of there country , if they want to oppress , slaughter each other, bomb holy places and finish the sunni, shi ite conflict once and for all thats up to them not us.
