The difference being she doesn't have to put her foot up there. She chooses to play the ball high and the consequence is when she hits Morgan who is challenging in a legal manner it's a foul. There isn't much to think about here. Middle of the field no one blinks twice if that's given as a foul. I don't think anyone argues if it isn't VAR either.
Kinda like Sissoko In the CL final. Regardless of what the rationale was for having his arm like that, if the ball hits your arm in that position, the referee has no choiceI don't think it matters who initiates contact when someone's foot is that high and there is contact it's a foul on the person who's foot is 5 feet off the ground.
Morgan was a foot off the ground mate.No she does have to put her foot there! She is a defender. She is raising her foot to kick it away as it comes over Morgan, Morgan just bunches herself up and throws herself towards the defender.
It wouldn't have been given as a foul in the middle of the field would it though as it wouldn't have gone to VAR.
It was not dangerous play at all. People seem to be adding a foot on top of how high her foot was for some reason. Morgan drops her head/body down.
Again we have had players being subbed today due to a missed header resulting in a clash of heads. Which one is more dangerous?
Its a pish rule that players can manipulate which they will because players just love to cheat. All of them. Sport doesn't matter any more.
Kelley o'hara is their SeamusThe two FBs for the USA - O'Hara and Dunn - have been great all tournament.
Better than Baines ?The two FBs for the USA - O'Hara and Dunn - have been great all tournament.
Morgan was a foot off the ground mate.
The defender was out of control. Created the situation to get unlucky
Got butted in the face first half then told the ref she was wrong to twll her she had to step off the pitch. lolKelley o'hara is their Seamus
No mate. It doesn't matter who initiates contact when the defender has her foot up like that. It's high and by default it's dangerous. If she didn't want Morgan to hit her foot she shouldn't have had it at shoulder height. Its a very convenient angle that proves nothing seeing as she dives into the foot before the ball even comes.
People don't see the blatant gamesmanship going on in football. "Oh contact was made, has every right to go down" etc etc. It's garbage and people keep getting conned by it.
