Women's team to play games at Goodison.

Look at the plans we had before though (flattening the whole stadium and building; social housing, Doctors, etc), how much will that cost? how much do we pay to play games at WHP for the womens team? How much do we pay out for the reserves to play at southport?

It could be done as a phased development over several seasons, or with the womens team currently playing at WHP, the club could do it all in one hit, it could be really beautiful though.

Back when we had that sweet, sweet oligarch money. (Without prejudice via a British Iranian).

That image reminds me of Filbert street. Not sure if this was an image to do with our Goodison plans.

When was that? TFG really want to expand the women's game as they see how huge it is in America and like a number of the USA owners they think that it has potential to grow, both within the UK and globally. Also any money spent on the womens team is exempt from PSR.
Personally I'm not sure it will ever take off to the same extent here. I think the football culture in this country runs deep and is pretty ingrained, there's obviously room for women's football to grow, but I don't think there's the same market for it as there is in America.

I hope we change our motto to Iudon Insto Darf as well.

TFG heard the rumour the redmen were going to buy it and turn it into a multistorey for Anfield and changed the plans lmao

Its a similar market already.

I actually don't think women's football is overly popular in Liverpool though for some reason.

Goodison would be good for the women's team, just Tifo up the top half and open up the lower levels and then open it all up for any big games.

Not really, not in the sense I was talking about anyway. The top flight of women's football in the US has average attendances a little over half of the average of the men's equivalent. Here it's somewhere between 10-15%. My point was more that the women's game has the potential to be just as popular as the men's game in the US, in a way that I just don't think it does (at least for a long, long time) here.

TFG might see it as a strategy to make more cash, fans might still go to Goodison for the nostalgia therefore increasing the attendance for Women's football. It could be a win-win situation.

Maybe it's a trial run for a year or two while the redevelopment plans are on the back burner

They defo aren't keep anything as it stands. With their plans to sell all the seats at Goodison it'll be impossible to do this. At best we might rebuild a new smaller, purpose built stadium on the same site but even that I think unlikely.
