I really want to go to this as loved the Lille experience, have all the necessary credits to get a match ticket but all the hotels are full except for the Ritz Carlton at £330 a night, so sod that. Going to have to wait and see who we get in the next round instead. Club Bruges would do very nicely.
Plenty staying in Hanover and Berlin - just checked Hanover and there are still plenty of rooms at a very decent price.

Depends where ur looking, Berlin plenty to offer
Just been summoned to court on the Friday anyway. I think this will be a better trip than Lille, German police are more savy than the French in my experience. Have a great time you lucky people.

In a way, too many fans went to Lille.

5k in Germany, all staying in different Cities.
Yeah, know what ya mean, when our away support's that big, although the numbers sound impressive, somehow the vocal support's a bit disjointed because of the sheer volume of fans there, and the fact that we were so spread out.
I think it sounds noisier when there's a solid 5,000 in one big block.

went to the pre season game a couple of years ago. Wolfsburg itself is a deadend - Bit like Skem.
Stayed in Braunschweig which is 20mins away by train. Got a nice old town place, not the nightlife as in Hannover or Berlin, but anyone looking for somewhere different, I would recommend it.
Stayed here http://www.pentahotels.com/en/hotels/bweph-braunschweig/everything/. Good hotel 5 mins walk from the station.
Tip for a bevvie in Wolfsburg on the day - alt-berlin-wob.de on Kaufhof. its on a pedestrian street and there are a couple of places to have a bevvie along there.

Just stay in Hanover. It's only 30 mins on the train.

On the back of a brilliant time in Lille have booked Heathrow Hannover Wednesday night, 30 minute train ride to Wolfsburg
Thursday at 13.32 back to Hanover on the 22.23 after the match, staying at The Maritim on Friedrichswall, anyone know of a pub/ bar that we are taking over in Hannover ( there are six Irish pubs) or a bar in Wolfsburg ?

P.s.
Btw, nice to be back, thanks Daniel !

Would love to be going to this but can't get time off work, had a great time in Lille, boss company, and Belgian beer.

Germany is something else though, good people who are more like us than the French. Love their ale and their footy, and they have Currywurst mmmmm!

does not look bad, that micro brewery, 1km from main station
http://www.brauhaus-fallersleben.de/

This place (der Altes Brauhaus) on our agenda too.

However, our train from Amsterdam doesn't get to Wolfsburg until 2.00pm, so not sure we'll be going before the game.

It closes at midnight though, so will get there at some stage in the day.

Looks great and far better than drinking over-priced beer in some plastic Irish bar...

How far is this micro brewery? I'm sure when I google mapped it, it was in the opposite direction of the station n ground and about an hours walk. Hope I'm mistaken!
