They have one line really.Think the US have this hockey game in the bag. Slovakia has done well to get this far with a pretty weak squad.
All good! They can use all the help/support they can get with the way this game is goingThat was nervy but they've pulled it off.
Sorry pal I am rooting for Slafkofsky.
Maybe if you took Hutson and Caufield I wouldn't be!!!
They have one line really.
That goalie has pulled off some outstanding saves though. I just caught the end of the second period.
Saw a bit of the second period (was on early afternoon here), and Slovakia seemed to be giving it a good do. Problem seemed to be on the special teams....I saw Slovakia only has 7 NHL players. All of Finland’s players except for one are in the league.
Of course it was pretty much the opposite in the quarterfinals, only about half of Czechia’s roster plays in the NHL while everyone for Sweden does.
Yeah, crazy the speed of the sport particularly given the size of some of the players involved.Absolutely. We had a season ticket for the local team for a number of years (partly because the football here is horrible) and really enjoyed it, despite the fact that it was the equivalent of Division Two (in football terms).
There's a lot of padding but damn those lads bang each other hard. I played in a "beer" league here for years. I was exhausted putting before we even got out of the changing rooms putting all the gear onIce hockey. Ballistic speed nightmare. Amazed there aren't life changing injuries every game.
. It's mad because at that level you think its fast then someone shows footage of you skating and its like Pac-Man in slow motion......Just can't help themselves.Flick onto tnt and its an interview with klopp on some olympic show.
Reading the other day and those bobsleighs cost like £300-400k (depends on the country) and that's without the blades, and each team has about 5 sets of blades and they cost about £25k each. They nearly flipped that toboggan. Austria. This is a dangerous sport.
There's a whole set of jumps some of the national teams use in the summer quite close to us. They land on a kind of giant tilted air-filled mattress sprayed down with water. Great watching it from the balcony! These fruit cake jumps in the ski super jump stuff, I can see it's relation to the trampolining. Still wouldn't fancy falling on my head.
