Winter Olympics, Milan 2026

They've gone for his accreditation (basically his ID as an athlete allowing him to be there) so they could chuck him out of Milan.

ioc, classy people! :/

Due to quite a severe (and thoroughly deserved) backlash to this entire fiasco, they've reinstated him, he is allowed to be in Milan, but is still banned from his event.

The shadow of putin looms large. I'd have him at the top of every update in a T shirt with the 24 on (the fellow Ukraine athletes killed by the russian invasion) every day. Really rub their (ioc's) nose in it.

You'd think they'd have thought back to the massive reception the Ukrainian team received on the opening night and concluded 'yknow what lads, this ain't the hill to die on right now'

'Its the rules, its the rules!' Well done, shower of [Poor language removed].

Anyway, lot of the women going for big tricks in the halfpipe. Its costing a lot of landings but they're not arsed, properly pushing the sport.

That event was brutal. Snowing heavily and the South Korean girl's bad fall early in the first run looked like it gave the Heebie Jeebies to the rest of the competitors. Great spectacle though.
