The Fa waffling on,the fact that England are bang average is the reason they dont win tournaments,more injuries in the PL because its a lot more fast and hectic than other leagues and Im sure English clubs were more successful in Europe when they were playing 60 games a season

Also let's not mention that almost all of the Belgium squad play in England and have no issues playing well

I think the problem is less the need for a break, more the ridiculous number of matches crammed into a short space of time.

Sorry PITA,I believe at the moment theres a gentlemens agreement that there will not be friendly games played during the break,only warm weather training,again,that doesnt make sense as all clubs have indoor training facilities to combat any adverse weather,I see it as a slow path to a reduction in the number of PL teams,as the end of the season becomes congested,theres no sure way of knowing bad weather wont hit in feburary or March

Well, depends if we're playing turdball (West Brom away, yuck). Great if we're being boss.

We're gonna win the World Cup lids, just like we did when the PL started in 1992, the justification for which was all about Ing er Land.

So if your team is knocked out the Cup in the 3rd. Round, like us this past two seasons, you face a month without football from the end of January until the end of February.

Why would we want to give the players of Man City, lfc, manu, Arsenal, chelsea and spurs the chance to 'recharge their batteries' so they have a better chance of winning games and finishing higher in the league. If players are getting 'tired' then managers need to rotate their squads and give them two weeks off and use the rest of the squad. I doubt it will make any difference for us or the others. But certain teams will take their players abroad to 'promote' their clubs and sell more merchandise and rake in the money.

As far as England goes, it was said the other day on TV that this squad of players, have played the least games going into a world cup than ever before. On the FA's reasoning they are going to win in.

I believe so, yes. I'm only hoping that the prospect of a nice long winter break doesn't influence our lion-hearted lads into downing tools in the FA Cup 3rd round.
