Thank you, our wedding anniversary is next month so perfect timing. I‘ll let you know how it goes (demand divorce lawyer fees ;))

Awesome, happy anniversary! Keep me updated...I'm very interested to know how he gets on with it; I'm confident. Bruichladdich ("Brookladdie") is stellar, IMHO. :)

You shouldn't have too much trouble finding the classic laddie (Total Wine, for sure)...Islay Barley can be hit and miss as it's a yearly thing/lower production.

Looking at doing it later in the year.

I'm not in the industry, just wondering if it's added to your enjoyment of wine?
It's made me more brave in trying a wider range of wines that I would have previously.

It's helped me understand some of my previous misconceptions. I now understand a bit more about WHY I like certain wines and why I dislike some other ones.

It's DEFINITELY saved me money - I have found loads of new alternatives to some of the mainstream supermarket stuff which is often overpriced - Lanson, Veuve Clicquot, that kind of mass-produced rubbish.

The level 1 is very basic. The level 2 is, IMHO, good value for money and fun in it's own right.

The one area in which it lacks (I suppose) is that there's nothing about food pairing on the level 2. But if you aren't fussed about that side of things then you won't mind.

Sounds like I'd enjoy it myself.

Odd that the pairing is included in level one, but not two. I suppose they want people to go through them both. Though looking at the course info level one looks very very basic.

Thanks for the detailed reply, much appreciated.

Mike.
