'88 final was brilliant, just to see the rs slinking home with their tail between their legs...had a great night in my brother's pub. Other than that they did well to come up from non league to first division in a relatively short time, and will always love Hans Segers.....Vinnie so-called hardman Jones wouldn't have lasted a minute against Morrissey, etc etc.

So last time they played MK Dons, Wimbledon got into trouble with the FA for not acknowledging the word Dons in the programme and only put MK on the scoreboard.

They play again tonight and they haven't produced a programme and the scoreboard is 'broken'.

Super stuff.

A1 trolling.

I remember watching us beat them away from home (Selhurst Park) in the 92/93 season and it was 3-1 to us - Cottee getting two of the goals.

It was just after New Year and there was literally hardly anyone there, with probably just over three or four thousand in total.

Lowest attendance in Premier League history and I doubt it will ever be broken. You can actually hear the ball bouncing off the turf in these highlights.

Used to be a fan of 'Fash' in his Gladiators presenting days, until I found out how he treated his brother Justin in the wake of him coming out

He's very contrite about it now. He was on Talksport a few months ago with his daughter and he was very honest how he treated Justin and how wrong he was. Was on with his daughter who also came across very well and has obviously been brought up well as she was very damming of her fathers treatment of Justin. I think they are both involved in an awareness group relating to Justin Fashanu and his struggles with coming out and his subsequent death.

Carried out a couple of assaults on Tottenham players which nowadays would have resulted in very lengthy bans but probably weren't even booked at the time.

John Fashanu on Gary Mabbutt was basically GBH and Vinny Jones on Gary Stephens nearly ended his career.

Personally, apart from beating LFC in the cup final, i am glad they disappeared into obscurity.
Can still picture Gary Mabbutt after that. Absolutely vile.

I completely forgot about that 'tackle' by Jones on Stephens. Absolute sickener.

Those are the sorts of things I think of when someone mentions the 'crazy gang'. That and the Park end when it was a big blue wall with a few dozen away supporters from there. I don't blame them travelling if they expected those awful to watch performances.

I was a big fan of Wimbledon of the mid 90s. As has been pointed out already, they were a novelty club. Long ball merchants who used to try and get under the skin of big teams. They had some very tough players. Fashanu , Jones, Hartford etc. Let’s not forget that one season where they finished top half . That was a good team that included, Barton, Scales, Earle, Holdsworth, Leonhardson, Gayle, Ekoku . Holdsworth was a good striker and I wanted him at Villa at one point.

ll post more on this later when im sober but what Vinny Jones did to Gary Stephens was a vile, cowardly assault. And jones was no where near as hard as he made out. Wouldnt survive 5 minutes in the game today
