Will we now finish above Liverpool to end the season on somewhat of a high?

New Stadium. Open to a move ? If so, ground share ?

Why would Moyes want to do that?

I've seen no impetus from the man to out-do Liverpool in any shape or form since he's been here.

Below.

I remember the many posters who said we would be relegated at xmas.
We are going to finish well for a team with our resources.

At the end of the season when they've lost the final (just go with it for a second) and we've finished higher than them, it will wind them up coupled with the money they've spent compared to us. Small time I know but what choice do we have at the moment?

I need any ammunition I can get against the bitter ramblings from my shower of RS mates.

We used to finish better with the same resources years ago.

I know what you're saying. City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs have spent fortunes this season, and apart from the RS they are streets ahead. Newcastle have had a wonderful season and with the strikers they have so they should have. We are the chasing pack. I still refuse to believe we can possibly make CL or even Europa these days without huge investment.

Change at RB + Pienaar + RM + using Barkley at CAM

Do all that and we could challenge for the top 5 properly imo, and it wouldn't take huge investment.

This post is pretty much exactly how I feel.

I'd love to see Coleman make it a right back but I just don't think he will.

We'll need investment and either a new stadium or a redevelopment to increase turnover and let us compete wage wise but the playing squad is pretty close.

I'd say a right back, a right winger, and another striker are all we're short of (provided we get Pienaar permanently) and then look at bringing through some of the more talented youth in the next year or two (Duffy, Barkley, McAleny, maybe Forrester)

For this to work though, we're in dire need of a more positive approach to the game. Push for a second goal, stop sitting on a lead. Tell players it's ok to shoot from outside the box every so often. Play from the centre backs to the midfielders, as opposed to long hopeful balls.

But they're utterly f@!*ing crap, Moyes. Stop using them as a benchmark. In fact, just stop talking about them at all. Just makes us look small time.

Think we do more than he does tbf.

For what it is worth I want everton to finish as high as they can, regardless of where Swansea, Man City or Wigan (playing nice football) finish.

COYB.

We've been horned 3 times by the RS what else can go wrong?

As if they could win 2 cups.... hahahahahahahaha

and finish above us in the league....hahahahahahahahahahaha

just couldn't happen.....hahahaahahahahaaaha

Kill me.

Odds are we will sh*t ourselves again.

True, but let's **** ourselves then begin to forgive. Stop Barkley playing with 16 year old boys. Dig Velios out of the coffin with airhole that Davie has buried him in. Put our arms around Royston and buy him a watch. Sell Osman.

Don't understand we're half of use are coming from.

Yeah Saturday was disappointing, but there's no point in dwelling on it, we should do our best to move on. The cup dreams over, there's still something to play for in the league. Its an opportunity to try new things, test barkley at this level and build some momemtum for next season.

If they lose the cup final & we finish 7th then atleast we get the last laugh.
