the survival numbers get lower all the time because the league is less homogenious. The lower teams rarely beat the Top 6 teams. Its a bit of an inditement that the elite has become cemented in place.
BTW I think 36 will be enough this year given so many in the race and therefore more 6 pointers to be played.

Teams are going to get points as places no one will expect them to, so for me we have to look after ourselves and just take each game as it comes, still lots of twists and turns to go, it will go to the wire that's for certain

This is it, had we beaten Spurs i'd be thinking were pretty much there as I wouldn't have had it down as a win. We need to beat fulham, and if we can then say beat either Palace or Newcastle, were near enough there

I don't think the 'Top 6' argument has held at all this season.

None of Newcastle, Brighton or Villa - or Liverpool or Chelsea - are where people expected them to be. Even Arsenal aren't where they expected to be, come to that.

Sucks for us not to be part of the disruption of the top 6, but that doesn't mean it isn't happening.
