Wilfred Zaha should we get him I reckon we should he’s good and would probably do better in our side than at Palace get him in Brands

I'd much rather have Zaha for 40 million, than Gbamin, Iwobi, Klassen, Vlasic, Onyekuru, and Funes Mori for 112 million.

In an era where it cost 8 million pound to have Zouma on loan for 10 months.

My only doubt relates to what wing he will play on? As he typically plays on the left and we are well stocked in that area, even though they are all absolutely cack apart from Richarlison!

Zaha would be great if he was on the left and we went 4-4-2 with Richarlison still upfront, but I can see Carlo being forced into a 4-5-1.

I'd prefer Willian on a free for our right hand side but much better clubs than us will have made offers for him, despite those on here that would turn their nose up at him as well

I'd also prefer Sarr for our right hand side but he will be more expensive, and again, better clubs will probably be in for him.

Last year he was a far better option than Iwobi. I would have been very happy to sign him. But then we signed Iwobi and not only was it an overpriced panic buy, but it has messed up our future recruitment options in wide areas.

If we hadn't signed Iwobi, I could understand going back in for Zaha, but now it would make no sense whatsoever and be a blatant example of compounding an error with an even bigger error.

The only way it would make any sense at all is if we could move on Iwobi and probably Bernard as well, and at unrealistically high fees.

I agree but, I think £40m is probably the ceiling for Zaha though, I dont think we should still be interested if Palace are holding out for more than that. We could probably get someone else who is younger and cheaper from a foreign league for between £30m and £40m. With Zaha he has that premier league experience so you pay a bit for that, which I understand, but if we have a budget of say £150m and we are trying to get 5 players in, we spend

£40m on Zaha
£25m on CM (Hojbjerg)
£25m on CB (Gabriel)
£35m on DM (Allan)
£25m on RB (Aarons)

We may have less than £150m im just giving that as an example

He bottled it Man utd, sulks & injury prone does not score many goals & is 28yrs old in November...
