….daughter sent me a vid of a squirrel absolutely devouring the head of a huge sunflower in her garden. Didn’t know they liked them so much.
Their is a colony in Croxteth Park apparently, and also one in Court Hey park - they visit the trees behind my house daily. I understand Belfast Council were debating whether to cull the ones that are there as they are a threat to native species.…just seen a green parakeets in my garden, indeed there’s 5 or 6 of them. I knew they’re prevalent around Sefton Park but they must be thriving if they’re now in West Derby.

I'll watch it on catch up in week xIt`s a Snipe.
Ps - If you want to watch some of the best wildlife camera work you`ll see anywhere, presented by a genuinely nice fella :
Hamzas Wild Isles - BBC 1 Sundays 6.15pm - 7.15pm.
He did Spring tonight and amongst the stuff he did, with Simon King, was file the feeding frenzy by predatory birds, as the Spring High Tide came in at Park Gate and all the small mammals on the marsh, scrambled towards the safety of the bank, as they desperately tried to stop themselves from being drowned.
Just magical.
I'll watch it on catch up in week x
