Google says they are birds native to New Zealand, which could explain why I've had none in my garden.

Google says they are birds native to New Zealand, which could explain why I've had none in my garden.

They most certainly are. I also get a lot of Tui (sweet singers), Fantail and slowly getting Kereru. Kereru are big wood pigeons, the noise as they approach is like a Lancaster bomber. I'm on an acre and back on to a reserve, all "bush" so lots of NZ natives around. I'll take my phone down next time I go down on my beer run and see what pics I can take.
