Why so negative?

For 'negative' read 'frustration'. So want us to get up there challenging. And when we've had such a bad run, to then go and get a win at Leicester you'd think we'd take that forward into the Hull game. But (again) first 10 mins we were overrun by Hull and concede.
I'm hoping we'll make some early signings in this window as a statement of intent. Leaving it until the last few days of the window will mean nothing has changed for me.

Despite all the hype and hope, as of yet, we're not doing any better under RK than we were under Bobby and the footy is even worse.

Not unsurprising stats. If its the same stat this time next year, then RK might be in trouble. But, let him have the next 2 windows to sort this out. If not, there's only one way its going.
Ps. The first year and a bit under Martinez was good (and a bit different) to watch. Once we were sussed out, and he had no plan B that was it. Frustration kicked in, and its still there!
 
As a general rule in life not just football, people will always moan about negatives or if they aren't happy; when things are hunky dory, there isn't as much to be said generally.

In football we all think we are managers in waiting and so we always think we know the solutions for whats going wrong, we don't of course but discussing things going wrong covers more ground than positivity.
 

People are negative because there doesn't seem to be much change from the past. I understand that Rome wasn't built in a day but the players mentality seems to be exactly the same..... Then when we do put youth in the side, they play "lights out!" Then as soon as the snr players return they're back in the side.
Just looks to be same old everton. Still feel the the team is screaming out for an attack PLAYMAKER who can pick a pass.

It absolutely is a transitional season but since when does that mean it will resolve everything? A transitional season involves the manager getting to grips with the side, deciding what his long-term plan is and laying the groundwork for his long-term vision. Next season is his first real season when he'll have more expectations (not the ridiculous one's coming from the bedwetters we're seeing atm) and providing we see real investment in both Jan and the summer I will expect real improvement then. This season was a write off before a ball was kicked due to the hideous lack of investment. A good play on words from you there mate but it's still a transitional season! ;)

Without wishing to get too deep and meaningful, I'm not sure that's totally true.

This place, and the internet in general tends to have more people who are interested in finding fault rather than giving praise, but, when we've played well, most Blues I know outside the forum will be waxing lyrical about it for days.

Oh I agree, I'm just saying it's not as noticeable whereas people will pick up on the negative posts much more. We are English(majority of us), moaning is what we do.
 

We are negative as you say because of the coverage of evertons games we see just about everything
We can see when players are holding us back
Can see Ross doesn't become a poor player overnight and the coaching staff/ manager isn't addressing it
Younger players showing great promise and not being given a run
Tom Davies for example
We aren't ex pros on here by any means but when the obvious is obvious it does your head in

You nailed it.

It means nowt.

There are no guarantees in football.

Five year plans...three year plans....transitional seasons......I can think of none of these fanciful, corporate motivation seminar buzz phrases ever translating into actual things at a football club ;)
