Why is Steven Gerrard disliked by so many Evertonians?

Because Baines never had a word with a referee to have someone sent off.

Ah, that'll be why Rooney is so well liked and respected by Liverpool fans.
 

Turning it back to them,don't they remember burning his shirt,also him writing an article in the Scum newspaper?I admire him for the way he has driven them on like a one man juggernaut at times over the years,but areas of his game and his overall persona make me despise him.
 
He acts like a cheat mostly, the main one was telling his mate clatterberg to send Hibbert off 20 mins into a game, that tickets are expensive and he just cheats, you dont see baines acting like him.
 
Because he is an absolute hypocritical [Poor language removed].

The stuff he has come out with about diving being bad for the game whilst doing it himself is a disgrace.
 

Lets all be honest

If Gerrard wasnt a great player we wouldnt hate him half as much as we all do
 
Tbf to him he always comes across ok in interviews and stuff. Just what he does on the pitch that makes me hate him. Great player though. Damn him.
