Why aren't we feeding the Yak?!

Hmmm so Yak took a knock in training according to Round but will be fit for w/end. Strongly suggests Moyes has not given up on him just yet. Yak winner on Sunday then would get things moving. Hope he's involved as the Yak of right now will still be likely more dangerous than Saha's shown in last 4mths of matches

Surely he's leaving?
He's not so unfit to be left out of the squad entirely? He's had a full pre-season, a good part of last season and a World Cup to get fit.
There doesn't seem to be any other obvious explanation to his absence. I would be sad to see him go though, he is still by far our best striker and if we were to sell him it'd only be down to concerns over his fitness and desire rather than his ability.
Unless we get an offer we couldn't turn down, I'd keep him.

Prob some truth in that and the fact W.Ham (possily only potential takers)are valuing him around the same as Dave Kitson who's moving to QPR for 2m may force his hand a little. If moyes keeps him on I believe he will out perform Saha but we still need a 15-20 goal striker to complement. I think we'd know yak was finished if it was on terms of offload at any price & even though not no 1 for moyes and large proportion of fans at present, who would be an ample deputy? Are there any o/seas cheaper both wages & fee wise players that have come into the prem and done it 1st season in the past?

Solutions -Cahill short-term in there maybe odd game. Becks needs to be off the bench, at least early season. Yak needs to be playing 60-70mins if fit at the weekend build him up for Utd game and the derby. However, if Moyes decides to get shut by deadline day, I will trust he has a suitable replacement.

I work with a Nigerian Chappie who claims to have played amateur football back in Lagos with Kanu....he says that Kanu is in fact 42...and that he believes the Yak to be 40!!!!
