Who's your ire most directed at?

  • no ire, Chelsea are just way better than us

Plus you're likely to be banned if you go on, so shut up Ian ffs.

27 years to the day we got a hammering at villa 6 - 2. That day we fielded a strong team containing a few our our league winning squad. Thank god the internet did not exist in those days.

Have a look at he the last few pages in this thread to see what many on here were saying about Williams
https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/ashley-williams.90261/page-250

He's been very good. Anyway, he's the least of the problems. Can anyone tell me what Ronald's teams 'identity' is. When he had our start to the season for decades and Sky had him on MNF, he said he likes his teams to press. Have we seen that?
Never a person to go on other people's views mate I form my own and Williams is an ok centre half, and koeman needs time to get his team together if he is given time half of that team tonight will be gone.

Fair enough mate, I've liked what I've seen from Williams before today. Most of the forum did too. I just don't like knee jerks after one bad game.

Losing to Chelsea is no shame. It's the manner of the loss. Said last season when people were blaming martinez that players had to take the blame too. Some are not as good as we think and are just weak mentally and don't have what it takes to be top players. It's a culture at the club but if these players were really top class they wouldn't be here. On a given day thwy can be excellent but don't do it 9 times out of 10 which the real top players do

If you set up five at the back with a defensive midfielder and still get ripped to pieces, that has to fall mostly on the players. Chelsea's on a rampage right now (they've scored 16 straight goals in their league games without conceding) but that was an abject effort today.

The Stek was the problem, literally gave away two goals and then everything fell apart. He rightly got the credit for his two penalty saves, but he was woeful tonight........
pete, did you see this feller save the ball with his face tonight?

Honest to God. It's painful watching this feller.
