Ideally, I agree, but there are some factors that make this very difficult:

- His LFC connection.
- His reactive style, and especially when we leak like titanic.
- His less positive statements in the media.

Benitez was never my manager, but when he was hired I chose to try to be positive. I still think he should get more time, but it is very difficult to see anything in the game that can be built on. It does not look good.

I struggled to see what moyes could do in 2003/04 when he finished 17th in his 2nd full season in charge. But look what he did after when he was allowed to build.

I have absolutely no doubt when benitez finally has a full squad available he will have Everton climbing the league. This season I still think he will get us around 10th or 11th. But this season isn't one I'm concerned with, next season is the one where he will have a much more structured squad and it will be the season we will battle for top 6.

We just can't keep changing managers and no matter how much some of you want it, I think we can agree that Moshiri isn't going to.

I don't know what we should do, Either is a massive risk. Keep him and see if he can buy real players who will fight for the team or sack him and hire another manager (loosing yet more funds on compensation) ....I'm going to have to say keep him and see. It's horrible being in this position in the first place. Moshiti is the man I am most angry with right now.
"I didn't give Moyes the job because of the fans not wanting him".....so I gave them the worse possible appointment who would have the other half of Liferpool laughing they're asses off

Yeah.... Cheers mate
Moshiti was a spelling Mistake, Apt though

I think he should get more time to work with new faces that he himself has chosen as opposed to the Brands brigade. Its a long game.

But then I don't live on Merseyside and have to work/socialise with kopites. I can understand the desperation.

I partly agree. Just look at Arteta and Arsenal. Has received a lot of criticism, and at times ridiculed. But has relied on the process, implemented the game model, and brought in new players. Now they are starting to look like a very good team.

It was a pity Ancelotti did not go to Arsenal, and Arteta to Everton. Think it could have been a good match.

It's all ifs and buts, innit?

What if we get tonked by Leicester and then do the impossible and lose at Norwich?

It would have worked.

Arsenal have given Edu freedom to work alongside Arteta and implement a young side. We have a owner who would be buying crap players and say “use them”

Why?

How about just keep benitez. Let him actually bring his own players in and see how he gets on. Why keep putting the club backward 2 steps.

Benitez has come in, he's got his foot in the door now, he knows what we need to change and what we need to do to improve. He's only now making his first real money signings in areas we all knew needed improving. I have absolute faith he knows how to take us back to where we want to be but he's not a magician, he just needs time. Sacking him would be the worst decision the clubs made because it would be massively unjustified.
So you want to keep the manager who’s made a worst start than Mike Walker? Who’s breaking every “worst” record possible?
Who has clearly shown he is 100% not the right man for this job and never was.

It’s when I read posts like yours that I start to think Evertonians deserve championship football.
Absolutely kin clueless.

For me, of course, the results mean a lot, but I tend to look behind the results. So if we play two fantastic matches, but lose due to coincidences and / or personal mistakes, then it's mediating. If we win, but it's due to luck, then I'm still skeptical.

So to answer the question; it depends on the performance. But at some point we have to get points. Right now we are in a period where we neither play good football nor get enough points. So it's worrying.

Hes not going anywhere unfortunately so we will just have to accept it. The fact that we are signing players so quickly in the window shows that he is being supported. Patterson is a run over from the summer and Mykolenko was clearly done weeks ago. Obviously players he has wanted and Moshiri is trying to give him what he wants

If he stays in charge he has to be given money to spend would you trust him to spend well ? Demari Gray is a good signing but the rest are just adding to the wage bill.
If anyone looks out of there depth it is Benitez ,I would put Ferguson in charge until the end of the season. A 25% win rate would keep us up so If he can do better he can put himself in the frame for a permanent position.
That would be a huge risk IMO
