Who's first in the clearout ?

..I think it’s more about who comes in. It’s not easy moving players on because they are sitting on bigger contracts than they’d be getting elsewhere. Saying that, Koeman was very good at it. There might actually be demand from struggling clubs in January, and by that time Allardyce and his coaches will have undertaken their own assessment.
If we really want them out Eggs, then we should be prepared to let them go on loan if need be. We have done quite well recently with offloading players, but a number have fallen through because we wanted sales rather than loans. As it happens, 2 of those players have played an active part in our so called recovery of the last few weeks, so perhaps it was for the best that Niasse and Lennon didn't go.:)

But having too large a squad does bring it's own problems, especially if some of the players are being disruptive in the dressing room. So we need to be aggressive in making this work because it's clear there are a number of players we need to move on either in January or in the summer.

..ultimately, though Fred, the player has to agree whether it be a loan or a sale. Koeman did well shifting the likes of Gibson and McGeady, we’ll see if Allardyce can also move on the ones he doesn’t want. As you say, ironic that Lennon and Niasse were surplus to requirements but have now played themselves into contention. I think Lennon’s contract might be due up in the summer, I suppose much will depend on who comes in.

I dont understand the need for people to want to get rid of some of our coaches for the reason basicly "why are we giving jobs to the boys"

Duncan Ferguson has worked with Lukaku over his time with everton and improved him into a better player, you could also look at Niasse and Calvert Lewin in that bracket aswell, infact, not many of our players have been terrible because of ability or bad coaching, alot of it has purely been down to attitude

Unsowrth and Ebbrell have forged a great team at u23 level, Unsworth gets first say of everything that goes on youth development wise, so why would he get rid of any of his staff.

Bunch of cry ar#es the lot ya

Think you misunderstood me Eggs. It was the other clubs who only wanted loan deals whereas we wanted sales, which is why the deals fell through. I think the players themselves were quite happy to go to get game time. Mirallas certainly wanted to return to his beloved Olympiakos by all accounts.

You're spot on re Lennon though. I didn't realise he only came on a 3 year deal. I doubt if he's one of the ones being looked at though.

..ah, I see. In the case of Mirallas, the club might feel they were stung by the Yobo loan which ended up lasting 3 seasons.

Missing a big thing in that though mate aren't you, the best coaches instil the right attitude into players.

Put in my post many names but the thread title was "who's first" now that is very hard to answer. Who will be the first out of the door?
