This is the prize awaiting the team in 4th:

this is the projected seedings (and participants, based on current league positions) for the last Qualifying Round of the Champions League next season.

Seeded

Porto, Zenit*, Bayer Leverkusen, Napoli and Dinamo Kiev*

Unseeded

Galatasaray*, Athletic Bilbao, Twente*, PAOK* and England 4th**

**if it's Arsenal or City or United or Spurs or Chelsea they would be seeded - if it's Liverpool OR Everton they would probably be 10th of the 10 (based on current rankings and current qualifying positions) but in any event virtually certain (and absolutely certain in our case) to be unseeded at the draw stage.

*entry in previous round so require to win a tie to reach this stage.

Bit of a quandary this weekend. We obviously want City to beat Arsenal (and Villa to beat United) but do we want Liverpool to beat Spurs? Do we want Chelsea to win v Palace?

I am kind of of the mind that the top 3 is out of our reach but we can get Arsenal but so possibly can Spurs so we want them (Spurs) to lose. In the absence of Everton winning it, Chelsea is a preferred PL winner than Liverpool so we want them to win. City is my overall preferred winner though (again in Everton's absence)

Your thoughts are appreciated.

they can win all they like if it helps us as far as i'm concerned. they'll probably have to beat both city and chelsea to beat both to the title.

Spurs losing or drawing doesn't make too much of a difference if we win, as we'll be 3 points ahead of them with a far better goal difference. 3 points with a far better GD is much the same as 4 points.

With that in mind I want the draw and Liverpool dropping the 2 points.

City win and a Spurs draw plus us winning this weekend and suddenly everything looks better. Liverpool will probably be out of the title race. We will be three behind Arsenal with a game in hand and better goal difference. We'll probably have cemented Europa League and would be flying going into the Arsrnal game.

We need Spurs Man U an arsenal all to lose, I want 4th which I think we will get but we also need to make sure 5th is ours if we fail to catch Arsenal

If we're being honest, there's not going to be any difference between 5th and 6th really - both will get us Europa League football.

4th would be great, but we're still big outsiders.

What I'm really looking for is for us to finish above 65 points, that's our record in the Premier League and it would give us the clearest indication of progress. That is well within our reach now, in fact at the moment I'd be disappointed with less than 70 points.
