The only positive thing that came out from the FA Cup weekend is Hull (if they beat Sheffield utd) will have the cup final 6 days after playing us (last game of the league), they should be safe from relegation and will rest many of the first team players and their concentration will be on the final and avoiding injuries and getting tired.

We're relying on a drastic collapse from Arsenal to be able to have a chance of fourth now. They have City and Chelsea coming up in the next 4 and we'd absolutely have to beat them at Goodison. It'd also mean we'd have to win 8/9 of 10. It's very, very unlikely but still possible.

I don't think it is 'very very unlikely' at all.

They could easily lose today and away at Chelsea next week. If we were to beat Swansea at home next week, we'd be 5 points behind them, with a game in hand (at home to Palace) and yet to play them at Goodison.

It is easily overturnable and does not require a terrible collapse from Arsenal.

It just requires Everton to play how they played earlier this season.

Spurs fans feeling sick...THREE losses to their bitter rivals in one season. Their manager is such a lightweight. 5th should be ours...top 4 though looks like a pipe dream. The top 4 teams this year might well ALL finish with 80 or more points which I would think is a first.

I think Arsenal will finish 4th, really can't see us getting such a string of results that we would go above them. I reckon it will be 5th for us, with Spurs pushing us all the way.

Top four will finish between 88-80 points. The us in 5th on 65-68. Which suggests we need to recruit some high quality in the summer to bridge that divide. This season, we are seeing a clear top 4 emerge. Then a secondary division (us, spurs, united, soton and Newcastle)...and then the rest

Hmmmm, reminds us of another team we're all familiar with

If we beat arsenal at goodison we will get 4th mate and you can vault me on that one

With the RS now seriously in the mix, they play Chelski at home the week before we play Citeh at Goodison in the 2nd last game of the season.

Obviously, with a good run in we should be well in it for 5th and an outside chance of 4th but.............

........FFS we could find ourselves helping that lot to win the league !

Well, both Liverpool and Arsenal, (one of which I think will finish 4th-probably the latter), will be a bit nervous about Man U's run in the CL...quarter-finalists now
