Anyway, if our striker (whoever that may be) can take penalties well then I think it should be them. Goals are important for a striker's confidence however they come.

Scoring a pen is still scoring, in fact I'd say it's bloody hard to keep your nerve in that situation and pens should not be taken for granted as givens!
