Who should replace Frank Lampard?

Can't see the Celtic manager leaving his post up there to come to us in the state we are in .
Dyche looks obivious candidate but Lamps would have to leave first .

We can't afford to sack him

The problem with managers of bottom half clubs is that they persist with trying to play out from the back when most of their players
aren't good enough. They soon lose possession to better players and eventually leak goals. You need to score to win and kicking long will get the ball into attacking areas far more easily and more often.
I agree and Smith did try to get Villa to play better football than the players could handle but he was terrible with subs and changing plan if the opposition were controlling the game or winning. He stuck with the same game plan for the full 90 mins and we were lucky to see a couple of subs in the 80th minute. He got away with it in the Championship when we got promoted as we had Grealish, John McGinn, Tammy Abraham and Mings in the team and they are clearly above championship level and they saw us through most games. When we came up against more worthy opposition Smith was left searching for ideas

Truthfully I don't really care anymore, about who the manager is everything stays the same. I can remember in Moyes last season people were complaining that he didn't put enough effort to beat the RS and Arsenal away, now look at us. I could tolerate us being crap when we had no money, so relied on average players who knew they were average. Since that clown Moshiri has come in we have been like a coked up divvy in a strip club in the afternoon, thinking that buying strippers drinks will make them go put with him. Moyes and Martinez bought players who wanted to achieve something, didn't always work out like, you understood what they were doing though. Which idiot brought Rooney, Klassen, Sigs, Sandro to the club and failed to buy a striker or a top class winger. All the wasted money is why we can't spend money now. It's just the same boring predictable rubbish year in year out, we should of gone down last year. Had Burnley not sacked ginger, who knows what would have happened. It was the fans who kept us up, not the players, the loss to Wolves at home was when I gave up with a lot of our players.

We had a small chance of getting a top manager had we removed Lampard in good time, with the last opportunity for doing that being wasted during the World Cup break. I honestly can’t believe we didn’t sack him back then! Managers that require unprecedented mid-season breaks to delay their inevitable sacking are not worth keeping around. They certainly aren’t to be given yet more money to waste in January. Get rid already!

We now have to go after a ‘firefighter’, and from the names available at the bookmakers, I’d choose Dyche over a Rooney circus ?. Dyche at least has a pair of bollox, something that is massively lacking at Everton right now.

We aren’t down yet! There are several other clubs that are just as crap as us. There is still a fight to be had, and Sean Dyche and his big fat ginger bollox may just be the guy we need to win this fight!
I can believe it, look at last season waited and waited to fire Benitez then took ages to appoint Lampard on deadline day, insane

The worst thing is that I’m starting to get the feeling that he STILL won’t be sacked, that he will be given the game against Southampton, as if a win against them will make everything alright.

Even if he isn't gone tomorrow which I think there's a good chance he will be. He'll be gone after a loss to United imo. Although if they'd any sense they'd do it now and try to have a new manager in for Southampton which is a very winnable game.

Agree with what you say. I can't help but feel that we will only get 1 point from next 9. Frank should have been sacked after Bournemouth. We would now have a new manager planning for the remainder of the season. I think if a new manager had been in place now, we would stay up. Keeping Frank on, even if replaced in January would be too late.
I really wish I had been wrong and we had got more points, but as I said Lampard should have been sacked after Bournemouth. A missed opportunity and wasted few months. Everton must act decisively and not waste any more time. When I saw the team sheet last night, I feared the worst. We ha a system against City that worked. The players seemed happy, why change it back to a system which has repeatedly failed.

Frank is a nice guy and he clearly loves the club and the city, but it does like we’re going down if something drastic isn’t done. Having said that, he has a better points-per-game average than Martinez had in his final two seasons.

Why we fans forced out Allardyce when he got us a top 8 finish I will never know. Are we better for having gotten rid of him?

Even Sam Allardyce would struggle to keep these lads in the top-flight. It’s not that they don’t care or that they don’t give their all, though some of them do seem to wilt when the abuse from our more vocal fans becomes really intense.

It’s just that they’re not good enough.

Pochetinno is the greatest manager in Tottenham’s history and the board appointing him would be a dream come true, but it isn’t going to happen.

It’s either Pereira, Beilsa or Sam.

Horrible, horrible thought that we somehow draw against United and get replay and they give him Southampton. And we just continue to spiral.
