Actually to be fair if we're having a serious debate about who should be captain because there are many candidates that's a really nice problem to have - half-a-dozen leaders on the pitch..

Morgan Schneiderlin, Gareth Barry, Leighton Baines (mostly for his experience though as Gaz may not start as often), Davy Klaasen (potentially), Seamus Coleman (if fit) and also perhaps Ashley Williams - or (theoretically) Wayne Rooney.

If it's going to be a first team regular before Coleman is back then I'd like Keane but Williams will be in for a good shout. Probably play better with the armband.

The way he was at Swansea and with Wales was fantastic and I'd like to see him given the armband for a couple of years. I loved it when he berated Lukaku last season for being lazy - no f*** given!
